Show Primary Honors Retiring Leaders At Meet In connection with a regular Stake board Primary meeting, the new officers honored the retiring president, Mrs. Maurine Child, and secretary, Mrs. Elda Jensen, at the Stake House. Mrs. Child introduced Mrs. Carrie Car-rie Rawle as the new president and paid tribute to Mrs. Jensen, her retiring secretary. All board members were introduced as was Victor Frandsen, priesthood advisor. ad-visor. Mrs. Lois Palfreyman, newly sustained president of the Seventh Ward Primary displayed a quilt which the Bluebird girls had made for the LDS Children's hospital. Announcement was also made at the meeting of the Penny Appeal to be held this month and it was stated that Kolob Stake is over the top in the Children's Friend magazine drive with every officer and teacher taking the magazine as well as the quota of families. After the preliminaries, the class workers met for instructions and the executive officers held a social for Mrs. Child and Mrs. Jensen. Jen-sen. Mrs. Elva Tipton of the Fourth ward gave a tribute to Mrs. Child and Mrs. Marian Mitchell Mit-chell of the First ward to Mrs. Jensen. Each was presented with a tokeriSaf appreciation for their services. The social closed with refreshments refresh-ments in charge of Mrs. Carrie Rawle, Mrs. Catherine Harris, Mrs. Zora Hales, Mrs. Virginia Law and Mrs. Elaine Laney, new board executive officers. |
