A beautiful star quilt was made and refreshments refresh-ments were served to Inez Harm-er, Harm-er, Vanda Jensen, Jennie Tew, Marie Morgan, Marva Whiting, Martha Whiting, Amanda Binks, Lora Bird, Millie Bird, Alga Mack-ley, Mack-ley, Eva Bird, Esther Hurst, Belva Wentz, Harriet Nielson, Myrtle Bird and the hostesses. Evon Allred of Provo was a special guests. Marilyn and Floyd Tuttle are the proud parents of a baby girl born Wednesday, February 3 at the Payson hospital. Fay Dibble has returned from the Payson hospital where he underwent un-derwent a minor operation. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whiting entertained a group of friends at their home Saturday evening. Whiting accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. John Evans . of Leamington went to Ely, Nevada Tuesday to attend the funeral services of Mrs. Mary Ca-zier Ca-zier who is a sister of Mr. Evans. The Mapleton Memorial Hall was the scene of a delightful dancing party Thursday night of last week when the Lions of Mapleton, Springville, Spanish Fork, Salem, Provo and Orem combined to entertain en-tertain their wives. Early in the evening a fine program was enjoyed en-joyed which consisted of a skit by Dean Binks and Bob Hurst; vocal solo, Lavere Tippetts, accompanied by Boyd Hales; reading, Iris Dibble and accordian solo by Junior Llewellyn. Lle-wellyn. Light refreshments were served and dancing concluded the evening's entertainment. " Mr. and Mrs. Vance Glviden were hosts to all of the members of their family the last Sunday in January in comemoration of the birthdays of three members of their family whose birthdays occurred oc-curred in January. They were Roy Price of Manti, Bonnie Gividen and Blaine Williams of Mapleton. Three lovely birthday cakes decorated the dining table. It is a custom of the Gividen family to have one birthday birth-day dinner each month honoring all those whose birthdays occur during that month. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Nelson and their family accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Vance Gividen and daughter daugh-ter Mary Jo were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Price of Manti Sunday. Mrs. Price is the former Georgene Gividen. There will be a Scout banqeut tonight in the ward amusement hall with the following committee in charge: Mr. and Mrs. Ermel Jensen, Jen-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bills, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Hooper, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Barker, Mr. and Mrs. John Westwood and Mr. and Mrs. Jaun Whiting. All parents of scouts have been contacted to furnish fur-nish food. Each one is asked to bring his own dishes. Joe Plumlee of Salt Lake City, formerly of Mapleton will be the master of ceremonies at the hair style show which is given by the beauty operators of Utah County on Monday, February 22 in the Wasatch School in Provo.
