Show Past Presidents Honored At Mapleton School Dedication and P. T. A. Meet The Mapleton PTA Founders Day program and dedicatory services were very well attended Monday night with Principal Warren L. Beardall presiding. jujmaiKS were iriaue uy ieoiiaiu Harris, Mrs. Calvin Johnson, Claude Ashworth, Hugh Hjorth, representing the PTA organization and the contracting companies who were responsible for the construction construc-tion of the new school building. Representing Re-presenting the School Board remarks re-marks were made by Lowell J. Crabb, Lavon E. Payne and W. W. Brockbank. Music was furnished by the 4th, 5th and 6th grade girls chorus under the direction of Mrs. Janet Crandall. The dedicatory prayer was offered by Lorin A. Niclson. Past presidents of the PTA were given honorable mention. Listed in order of the years they served they are: Mrs. Arnold Lee, Mrs. Ardil-la Ardil-la Perry, Mrs. Lorin A. Nielson, Mrs. Charles Whiting, Mrs. Otto Hall, Mrs. Harvey Mendenhall, Mrs. John I. Holley, Mrs. Frank Jensen, Mrs. Sylvester Allan, Mrs. Lavoll Bird, Mrs. Norris Binks, Mrs. Li la Brake, Mrs. Fred Murray, Mrs. Ira Allen, Mrs. Jack Canto, Mrs. Joseph W. Wiscombe, Mrs. H. IUte.se Anderson, Mrs. Marcellus Nielson, Mrs. Ermel Jensen, Mrs. Ross Hall, Mrs. Ray Whiting and Mrs. H. Hjorth. At tho conclusion ot tne program a tour of the building was made and light refreshments were served, serv-ed, compliments of Mr. and Mrs. GUm Seal, to approximately 415 people. Tho executive officers of the current PTA are: Leonard J. Harris, Har-ris, president; Mrs. Cleon P. Christensen, Chris-tensen, vice-president; Mrs. Elmer Wiscombe, secretary; and Mrs. Calvin Johnson, historian. |
