Show Kiwanians Plan Scout Week Program Tonight In observance of the founding of the National Boy Scouts of America Am-erica organization, the Springviiie Kiwanis club has planned a special spec-ial Scout program at their meeting meet-ing this evening under direction of President Glen W. Sumsion. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Chicl;en Roost with Victor Frarid-sen, Frarid-sen, chairman of the club Boys and Girls committee, acting , as the toastmaster. Scheduled as the speaker of the evening is Wiflord W. Clyde, pres-iden'i pres-iden'i of the Utah National Parks Council. He will explain the "functions "func-tions of the organization and the advantages gained through enrollment enroll-ment in the Boy Scouts. All Scoutmasters and Explorer Scoutmasters and Scout commissioners commis-sioners in the Kolob district will be special guests of the club at the dinner meeting. The meeting last week featured a patriotic talk by Attorney George Baliff of Provo in commemoration com-memoration of the birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Glenn Holley and Freeman Free-man Bird furnished music. Plans are going forward by the club for a special observance of the club's birthday anniversary on Thursday evening, February 18, on which further details will be announced at a later date. |
