Show High School Hews By Mary Ann Childs and Marilyn Roylance The Junior Class has already began be-gan preparations for their annual Junior Prom. The class officers have been meeting with a committee commit-tee to determine a theme for the dance. We know with their ability that they will pick a theme that will satisfy everyone. Are we proud of our basketball team? You bet we are. Five games and they stand undefeated. They really did a good job of beating those Carbon Dinos at last Friday's game. We hope that they will defeat de-feat Spanish Fork Dons this Friday Fri-day at Spanish Fork. If they don't however, we know they will still go to the Class B tournament because be-cause of their fighting spirit. Congratulations to Carbon pep club for the halftime activities last week. They danced to a real jazzy record and then formed a pin-wheel and sang their school song. They really did a good job and should be proud of their pep-club. Springville's pep club formed the State of Utah in the dark. The lines of the state were formed with aluminius sticks, held by the girls. The cities of Springville and Carbon Car-bon were represented by signs, held by two of the cheerleaders. Lucy Jensen represented the little Devil of Springville High School and Joan Kelly, wearing a dinasaur mask, represented the Carbon High School. Are you guilty of vandalism? Are you guilty of traffic violations viola-tions ? Are you considered a ju venile? Then if you are, you had better do something about it. The students of Utah County have renamed re-named law breakers. GoODerts. Fri- named law breakers, Gooperts. Friday Fri-day the asembly was put on by the Sophomore Speech Class. They represented the typical Goopert and showe,d some of his faults. These measures have been taken into hand by the Student Council to cut down on some of the small crimes in Springville. |
