Show Power Co. Manager Predicts Increase In '54 Business While it is tine that a buyer's market may exist during 1954, there will be more buyers than ever before and they will have more money to spend. This was the contention of D. L. Holt, residential and farm director for Utah Power and Light Co., at a meeting of electrical dealers Monday Feb. 8 in Orem, Utah. Keynoting his meeting with the slogan "Sell More in '54, Mr. Holt declared that the electric industry is looking forward to the new year with optimism. "It is our prediction," he said, "that the electrical appliance and equipment business will be good in 1954 in fact, as good or better than last year, which hit an all-time all-time high of more than 24 million mil-lion dollar volume in our area." The meeting was directed by J. N. Stevens, the power company's division manager and W. L. Faddis the division's business development department manager. Attending from Springville were Harrison Conover, editor and publisher pub-lisher of the Springville Herald, and Elmer Sims, advertising manager. |
