Show Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Packard returned re-turned Tuesday evening from Miami, Pla., where they attended the Five Flags Fiesta and the 28th biennial convention of the national nation-al federation of Music Clubs. At one of the sessions, Mrs. Packard who is vice-president of the Utah Federation of Music Clubs, serving as extension chairman of the state, was presented with a medal in recognition of senior club work and for enrolling new senior clubs in the national organization. In company with other Utahns, Mr. and Mrs. J. Tracy Wootton and Mrs. R. L. Bird of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Mensel of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Packard went by plane to Cuba, Havana, where they spent two days. They made the trip to Florida by automobile, returning by way of New Orleans, La. They visited places of interest inter-est throughout Lousiana and Texas and other southern states enroute home and were gone about a month. |
