Plans Control Of Hunting Area Springville Chamber of Commerce Commer-ce officials Tuesday evening, devised de-vised a plan to form a Springville hunting area in an effort to control con-trol nearby fields for Pheasant hunting and retain the proceeds for local recreation purposes. Lee Miner is in charge of he project. The directors also heard a report by Sterling Price on his recent trip east in which he observed that he had visited some towns much smaller than Springville in which the Chamber of Commerce was exceptionally ex-ceptionally active due to city cooperation; co-operation; also he had noted in some larger towns, the Chamber was inactive. He stressed the importance im-portance of the tourist dollar stating stat-ing that it had been estimated that one dollar spent in a city by a tourist is turned over . seven times during the year. LaMar Miner reported on plans of the advertising and publicity committee of the Chamber to reopen re-open the information booth on the City Park. He is seeking the cooperation co-operation of civic clubs and all business bus-iness in Springville in this undertaking. |
