Show Springville Athletes to Compete in BYU invitational Meet FrL Sat I Springville high school will be well represented at 39th Invitational Track Meet at the B. Y. U. today, Friday and Saturday. Junior hich school boys' tennis opened the meet this morning with senior high boys' tennis f r both Class A and B Friday. The meets will, start at S:.'!0 for the B schools and 1:00 p.m. for the A schools. Friday at 1 :30 the Junior high school boys track meet will begin. be-gin. At 2 p.m. the all-around championship events will start with the conclusion boring on Saturday Sat-urday this year instead of running them through all on Saturday as has been done heretofore. Saturday will bo the big day with Junior college tennis starting it out at 8:30 a.m. At 9 a.m. the senior high tonnis semi-finals and finals will be held for both A and B schools. At 9:20 the senior high school class A and B track and field trial heats will begin with concluding events scheduled for 1:30 p.m. All-around championship will conclude their events beginning begin-ning at 9 a.m. Junior college track and field meet events will be concluded con-cluded beginning at 1:30 p.m. Springville will be well represented repres-ented again this year in the tennis ten-nis competition. Last year Phil Haymond and Doug Smoot won the doubles and are back again this year. Carl Nelson, senior of last year, won the singles. |
