Show 1952 Art Show to Close April 30th; Program Announced for 2 o'clock 1 Important Names On Art Register; Tours Scheduled Springville's 152 National Art Show will be closed with appropriate appropri-ate exercises on Wednesday, April 30 at 2 p.m., in the high school gymnasium. An invitation is extended ex-tended to the public to attend and -special invitations are given to city and county officiaJs, school board members, artists and towns, people. Paul K. Walker, principal of the high school, president of the art board, will be in charge of the pro- . gram. The high school music department de-partment will furnish .orchestral and vocal numbers. A highlight of the exercises will bo the cash award made by the Aureole club to an outstanding art student; presentation of the Johnson John-son award to an outstanding senior sen-ior art student; the Junior essay award and the senior essay award presentation, and the prize unveiling. unveil-ing. Guest speaker for the program will be Dr. Avard Fairbanks, head of the art department of the University Uni-versity of Utah. Several large groups are scheduled sched-uled to visit the art gallery on Wednesday evening, following the closing program. Many important personages including in-cluding artists, critics and art dealers are listed on the registration registra-tion book the past few days. Prominent Prom-inent among these are: John Pok-zebo Pok-zebo from the Denver Museum of Art, who is in Utah to restore paintings in Hotel Utah and in the LDS church buildings. Artist Nestler, Moller, Arnold Friberg, Alvin Gittens and many others have viewed the paintings sinco the opening. , The art gallery is open each night until 9 p.m. and someone i in attendance each night to talk on the pictures.
