Little Leaguers Win Championship With Am. Fork Win Following in the footsteps of their big brothers of the Pony League, Springville's Little League Lea-gue all stars copped the county championship with a 3-2 win over American Fork last week. A trophy tro-phy will be awarded the team. Going into the fifth inning 1-1, American Fork chased a run across to make it 2-1 for the Forkers. In the sixth inning, however, how-ever, back-to-back singles by John Childs, Paul Cherrington and Milo Smart sent two Springville playei's across the plate to win the game. Winning hit was hammered by Smart who knocked in Cherrington Cherring-ton with the winning run. Manager Wave Migal was especially es-pecially high in his praise of pit- |
