Show Grandma Moses Honored 3y Hafen-Dallin Club The Hafen-Dallin Club met in the garden of Lucille Bird Tuesday ' to honor the 95th birthday of Grandma Moses, New England painter. . j Within a border of framed drapery prints of her paintings, a 1 program was presented. Music composed by New England Eng-land musicians was played by Mary Parker, Jeannette Dougall and Mrs. John Dougall on the piano; Ella Reynolds, dressed as Grandma Moses, told incidents in the life of Grandma Moses; Ruby Christensen related her exper-ience exper-ience of seeing Grandma Moses in New York; and Mae Huntington gave a biography. A New England luncheon was served to the 45 members present, pres-ent, and President Lucille Bird also told of her having breakfast with Grandma Moses. Mrs. Bird sent a telegram to Grandma Moses Mos-es wishing her a happy birthday. The next regular meeting of the club will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, in the garden of Mrs. Charles Franks at 4:15. All members and those who wish to become members mem-bers are urged to attend. |
