Show 3 Mapleton News By Mrs. Norris T. Binks Phone IIU 9-5875 Mr. and Mrs. Reed Larsen are spending a delightful two weeks touring Canada and other points of interest along the Northwest coast. They plan to travel as far south as San Francisco before returning re-turning home. The Busy Bees 4-H club who are instructed by Beth Bird and Cora Ellis this summer in their first year of home improvement were successful in winning five blue ribbons at the recent county 4-H exhibit. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lee of Springville, Calif., spent two days son, Eva Bird, Jennie Tew, Belva Wentz, Lora Bird, Millie Bird, Inez Harmer and Amanda Binks. small daughter Denese who have been making their home in California Califor-nia have been guests at the home of her mother Mrs. Margaret Larsen Lar-sen during the past three weeks. When they leave here they , will move to Ohio, where Mr. Buchard is transferred. Mr. and Mrs. John Cox and family fam-ily who have been living in Ma-pleton Ma-pleton this summer have moved to Salt Lake City to make their home and where Mr. Cox will teach this winter. Word has been received by Mrs. Maud Whiting of the birth of a baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Danner, who live in Hutchings, Kansas. Mrs. Danner is the former Creta Whiting. The new baby has one brother. LaRue Stone, who has been taking tak-ing a course in .nurses training in Seattle, Wash., during the past year, is visiting at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Stone, Miss Lorene Taylor of Salt Lake City has been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reid M. Hales during dur-ing the past week. , Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Whiting accompanied by their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Whiting are enjoying a motor trip to the northwest. They plan to visit another an-other son and his family, Don, who is making his home at Moses Lake, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Mackely were Mapleton visitors Sunday. last week visiting at the home of$ Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hjorth and family have returned from Fish Lake where they enjoyed a vacation vaca-tion for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Whiting of Las Vegas have spent a week at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Lorin A. Nielson. Mr. Whiting came especially to attend the funeral fun-eral services of his father, John Whiting. Other guests at the Nielson home have been Mr. and Mrs. Byron By-ron Bown of Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Behrman of Phoenix, Ariz., have recently returned re-turned to their home after spend- ing several days here visiting at the home of their children Mr. and Mrs. Verl Behrman and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. Oberhansley and small daughter Susanne of Los Angeles, Calif., are visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. S. LaVell Bird and the Bert Oberhansleys of Spanish Fork. They plan to be here until the 16th of September. Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and Mrs. Blair Binks and son John of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Glade Binks and daughter Christine of Maple-ton Maple-ton spent Labor Day in Payson as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Binks and family. Mr. and Mrs. Max Buchard and They are staying at the home of his parents Mr and Mrs. Spencer Mackely of Provo. Ronald has been studying dentistry at the Northwestern North-western University at Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson and family left Sunday for a trip to Yellowstone Park, and other points of interest in Idaho. They will be gone several days. Mrs. Gwert Allen was hostess to the Needle Craft club at her home last Thursday evening where the time was spent injfiewing films of Hawaii taken by Collin Allen while on a mission there. A delicious lunch was served by Vanda Jensen, Jen-sen, Arlena Holley, Alga Mackley and Sadie Whiting.
