Little Leaguers Swell Resuscitator Fund by S67.75 from Baseball Game Springville city volunteer firemen are delighted and thrilled with the fine response received from the letters thev sent out to civic clubs and individuals ask- r ial thanks publicly to the following clubs, business houses and individuals individ-uals who have assisted them in this most worthy project as follows: fol-lows: Lions club, $25; Allan Cleaners, Clean-ers, $10; Springville Bank, $10; W. W. Clyde and Co., contractors, $10; Jaycees, -$30 ; Brookside Market, Mar-ket, $15; Haymond Drug, $10; Ki-wanis Ki-wanis Club, $50. Especially are the firemen appreciative ap-preciative of the efforts of the Little League baseball players who in a game with the Provo Lions Friday evening took in l$65.75 and turned it over to the fund committee com-mittee for the resuscitator, the amount representing the largest single contribution to date. The team, managed by Wave Mi-gual Mi-gual was sponsored by the Utah Service, Inc., with three guest players from Haymond Drug and included the following: Gordon Robbins, Kent Tipton, David Whiting, Whit-ing, Milo Smart, Boyd Hansen, John Child, Hal Shepherd, Clyde Gabbitas, Steven Waters, Roland Senior, Grant Holdaway, Tommy Wilson, Gary Knudsen, main team; Paul Cherrington, Grant Palfrey-man Palfrey-man and John Joe Miller, guest players. . The Springville boys furnished a thrill for the audience when John Child pitched a no-hit game and the score ended in a lopsided score 11 to 0 for Springville. The firemen also express spec- |
