Show parents, Mr. and Mrs. John V. Blaxichard here Sunday. Among the large and success ful parties of the week was that given by the Fourth Ward Y. W.-M. W.-M. I. A., for members of the Y. M. M. I A, last Tuesday night in the canyon. A variety of competitive com-petitive games was featured in the early evening and later around a huge bonfire a wcinie supper was enjoyed. There were about 75 M. I. A. members in attendance. attend-ance. Mrs. David Kingnorn of Idaho Falls, Idaho, formerly ol Provo. spent the past week with her daughter, Mrs, Mark A. Brown and family in Springville. On Sunday they went to Lehi where a family gathering was held in celebration of Mrs. Kinghorn's birthday anniversary. The Home Culture c:ub has postponed their regular Friday meeting until Monday at 7 :3u p. m., when they will be entertained enter-tained at the home of Mrs. Howard How-ard Thorpe. A group of relatives including nieces and sisters of the late Alice Louise Reynolds, recently organizd an Alice Louise Reynolds Reyn-olds club in Springville and are now federated. They selected Mrs. Mary Reed as president; Mrs. Reynolds Harmer as vice president; Mrs. Emily Liddiard of Provo as secretary-treasurer and Mrs. Haroldine Rasmussen of Provo, as program chairman. The group held Its April meeting meet-ing last Friday at th home of Mrs. Reynolds Harmer, with 16 members in attendance. A feature fea-ture of the evening's program was a review of the book "Rebecca," "Rebec-ca," by Mrs. Fioss Phillips. Miss Evelyn Reed and company also entertained with instrumental selections. se-lections. The club plans to hold meetings regularly every month. Mrs. Millie Martin, Mrs. Amy Donaldson and Mrs. A. W. Harmer Har-mer are honorary members. At the meeting Friday, the group honored the latter two, whose birthdays occurred recently, by presenting them with a lovely gardenia corsage and a birthday cake. A delicious de-licious and well arranged luncheon was served shortly after 7:30 o'clock to eighteen club members. Mrs. Merlene Johnson of this city announced the engagement of her daughter, Lenore, to Robert Hundley, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hundley of Provo. the marriage to take place in the near future. The bride elect is a former student of the Springville hi'gh school and Mr. Hundley is a Provo high school graduate. Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Florence Boyer. Wives of .school faculty members spent a delightful afternoon Thursday at" the home of Mrs. Eva Crandall and Miss Barbara Gudmundsen. Later in the evening eve-ning they went to the home of Mrs. Eva Crandall, where a tasty lunch was served, and a general social enjoyed. The entertaining en-tertaining rooms of the Crandall home were especially beautiful with a profusion of early spring blossoms. In attendance were 40 club members, their 'husbands and other guests. In conclusion a delicious luncheon was served by the hostesses. Mrs. Floss Phlilips was hostess to members of the S.'T. club at a nicely arranged party at her home Thursday evening. Progressive contract bridge followed a delicious de-licious luncheon served at small tables which held lovely hyacinths as centerpiece's. During the bridge games Mrs. Gwen Baxter won high score priMe. In attendance were eleven club members a nd M rs. Mabel Simkin.s was a special guest. Mrs. Sarah Lloynds was visited by her daughters, Mrs. Gladys Harrison and daughter of IxKan. Mrs. Alice Drown and daughter of ( 'opperlun, M rs. Mrs. Dolly Smith was hostess to members of the Ave Delma ' club at her home last Tuesday 1 evening. Members of the Mothers Study club and their partners spent a delightful evening last Friday. The group first assembled at the art building, where a talk on the pictures in the exhibit was given by J.
