Show Former Provo Man Gains Success As Free Lance Writer "Samuel W. Taylor; former resident res-ident of Provo and student at Brigham Young university, is achieving signal success as a free lance writer, accorOTTng to word received here from a San Francisco writing group with which Mr. Taylor is affiliated. I Mr. Taylor, a son of Mrs. Nettie Net-tie M. Taylor, 35G North First j West street, had one of 'his short 1 stories, "Memory Test" publish- I ed in an April issue of Colliers, one of the foremost markets in the "slick" paper field. Recently one of his short-short stcies appeared ap-peared in Liberty, national weekly, week-ly, and another longer story, was accepted by that magazine about two weeks ago.-, laves in Palo Alto . ' . Since - he left Provo . . several years ago, Mr. Taylor has1-been situated in Palo Alto, ' California, where he has his writing workshop work-shop in the rear of his home. Since he started free lance writing writ-ing on a full-time basis he has had scores of short stories and serials published in "pulp" paper magazines of the western and adventure type. Mr. Taylor's wife, the former Gay Dimmick, who was graduated gradu-ated from Brigham Young university, uni-versity, is also well known here. |
