Show Big Parade and Program To Be Highlights Of 2-Day Musical Event There will surely be "music in the air" about Springville Friday and Saturday, When students stu-dents from junior and senior high schools throughout Utah and Juab counties assemble here for the Region Three music festival. Vieing for places in the various divisions of instrumental and vocal vo-cal music, representatives will participate from Provo, Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Spanish Fork, Payson, Goshen, Benjamin, Eureka, Nephi and Springville. It will be the biggest musical event ever held in this community communi-ty and arrangements are practically prac-tically completed to accommodate not only an estimated 2000 students stu-dents expected to participate in the contests but an additional large number of parents and other oth-er students who are expected to attend. Instrumental solos Cello, 10:50 a. m; viola, 11:10 a. m; violin solos, 11:20 a. m; piano solos, 11:50 a. m., in junior high school music room; tenor solos, 10:30 a. m; mixed quartet, 11 a. m; S. A. B., 11:35 a. m; piano solos, 11:50 a. chorus room of the art building; junior high school orchestras, 11 a. m., high school auditorium. The band parade lineup is as follows: Junior high schools, Tin-tic, Tin-tic, Farrer, Provo, Goshen, Dixon, Dix-on, Provo, Benjamin, Payson, Springville, Spanish Fork; senior high schools, Tintic, Pleasant Grove, Lincoln, Provo, Payson, Lehi,- Spanish Fork, Ncphi, Springville, Provo high school. the high school auditorium, when each school participating in the contests will render their very best selection. A cordial invitation invita-tion is extended to everyone to attend this and all other events during the festival. As a fitting climax to the contests, arrangements have been made to have at least 18 bands ' entered in the events, . parade down Main street from 4 p. m., until 6 p. m., Saturday. During the parade, Commander L. A. Yost of , - Fort Douglas, . Salt Lake City, will judge the bands. Other judges who will select the winners of the contests are Dr. Gerritt de Jong and Professor Profes-sor Robert- Sauer of the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university faculty. Miss Margaret Summerhays ot Salt Lake City and Clair Johnson, John-son, music suDervisor at the Weber Junior college. The contests will be held in 1 the music room of the Junior high school, in the chorus room of the art building; in the high school auditorium and at Memorial Mem-orial hall.
