Show High School News Items By HELEN KELSEY The following students were selected se-lected Monday night to compete on Washington's birthday for high honors in the oratorical contest: Max Mendenhall, Erma Celventra, Lucille Thorpe, Bess Talmadge, Richard Oakley and Sara Marie Binks. The ninth grade girlsi chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Stow-ell, Stow-ell, gave a special assembly Wednesday. Wed-nesday. They had several numbers num-bers from out of town, among them being a pep talk by Coach Romney from the B. Y. U. The : girls' chorus gave a pep stunt ad vertising the game with Nephi last night. Plans are being made for the Athletic Carnival to be held here in the near future, according to Coach Rowe. Boys will participate partici-pate not only from here but from other nearby high schools as well. Today was the last day for the school cafeteria. It has been operating op-erating the past few months under un-der the direction of Miss Warn-ick Warn-ick and has proved very successful. |
