Show JACOBSEN IN COUNTY RACE J. Elmer Jaco'osen, former city commissioner of Provo, announced today his candidacy for the nomination nom-ination as county commissioner at the Democratic county convention in Payson, September 24. The decision de-cision to allow his name to be presented pre-sented for t'he two-year commissioner commis-sioner nomination was made after long deliberation on his part and the earnest solicitation of friends and supporters. j Mr. Jacobsen, his friends point out, made an enviable record as city commissioner for four years, during which time he gained an insight into the problems of the county administration. As commissioner com-missioner of waterworks, parks and public property, he represented represent-ed Provo city in the details incident inci-dent to the completion of the city and county building and in the purchase of the present county fair grounds. He has been a resident of Provo for 21 years. During this entire time he has been connected with the real estate business and has been president and manager of the Dixon Real Estate company since the death of the late LeRoy Dixon Dix-on in 192G. His ability in this field has been recognized by his elec- ; tion as president of the Utah Realtors' Real-tors' association, and is at present a member of its state tax committee. commit-tee.
