Show COMING OF PIONEERS TO BE OBSERVED The eighty-second anniversary of the arrival of the fiit pioneer company com-pany in Springville, will be commemorated com-memorated with a program, for the general public, at the city park, near the Pioneer Mother monument at 3:30 p. m. Sunday. The two camps of Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pion-eers are sopnsoring the entertainment. entertain-ment. Mi's. Grace Cheever 'and Mrs. Josephine Jones of the Utah county chapter, Provo, will speak on "Landmarks" and "The Pioneer Mother", respectively. Mayor John L. Whiting wilt give remarks of appreciation ap-preciation and Willis K. Johnson, Sr., one of the early pioneers, will o f fe r t he in vo ca tion . M rs . E li za Thorn will give-a tribute to Utah; Glenn and Harold Holley, vocal selections; Ellen W. Anderson, vocal solo; Roc McCurdy nnd company, com-pany, instrumental music; Ralph B. Weight and Will Parry, instrumental instrument-al music; Helen Palfreyman and Inez parker, vocal duet. Com-: nuinity singing will be led by choristers chor-isters Mrs. Hazel Latimer and Mrs. Mae Smith. |
