Show Kiwanis Club has project on citizenship The Springville Kiwanis club with others throughout the nation, na-tion, have placed special emphasis em-phasis this week on a program designed to make each citizen citi-zen more aware of his standing stand-ing as a citizen. Called the CQ or Citizenship Quotient program, it is aimed at challenging the individual to appraise his personal citizenship citi-zenship standing. The week was proclaimed by Mayor J. Emmett Bird as CQ Week to assist with the objective ob-jective of the program. He called attention to the privileges privi-leges of Democracy the free man's manner of self-government, which calls for the best in everyone. , As a means of acquainting the public with the purposes of the project, bulletins have been distributed by the club committee thruout the schools and other means of advertising and bringing the ideals of better bet-ter ' citizenship before townspeople, towns-people, are being used by the club. , Harold Bartlett is chairman of the program being assisted by Merle Sargent, H. M. Weight, Dr. C. W. Judd, W. W. Brockbank and Grant Nielson. |
