Show Brookside School news this week We in Mrs. LeRoy's class are studying about birds. We had an April Fool party Friday. Keith Lewis has a birthday in the summer so his mother had an April Fool party for him & us. David Duncan and Kaey Danielson had a birthday Sat. arrowheads and rock formations. forma-tions. Linda Mae Dansie also gave us an instuctive report of her visit to the home of the author Frank C. Robertson, who lives in Mapleton. She told us about his many books and how he prepared them for publishing. In Mr. Poulsen's Fifth grade, we are studying about distillation distil-lation of petroleum in science. We are going to do experiments experi-ments to learn how distillation works. Mr. Poulsen told us there are many products that come from petroleum. We had a lot fun Friday. It was April Fool's Day. We had two birthdays to celebrate in Mrs. Anderson's First Grade today. (Monday), April Zimmerman and Rodney Oldroyd were both born April 4. Mrs. White Hen is setting, on 12 eggs, in our room. We like to watch her as she turns the eggs. She uses her foot and beak to turn the eggs. In Miss Condies room we are enjoying the springtime. We have found many signs of spring and have written nice stories. We like to draw pictures pic-tures of spring. Monday we celebrated Todd Halverson's birthday. He is seven years old. We have two other birthdays in April, Sammy Barker's and Dennis Beardall's. Kurt Anderson gave Miss teresting account of his weekend week-end trip to Kanab. He went with his father and their friends. They .visited Glen Canyon and saw the work which man has done there. But more interesting to us was his' trip to two prehistoric Indian cave ruins where they found some Indian relics.
