Show GRATER CON. MAKES RAPID PROGRESS Considerable progress is being made upon the tunnel which is being driven by the Grater Consolidated Mines company, com-pany, according to B. D. Field, secretary of the company. Approximately eighty-nine eighty-nine feet from the portal average samples taken from the face as -it broke through the quartzite show the following assay: Silcer, 1.2 ounces; lead, 5.3 per cent, and copper, .05 per cent. Several ore-bearing fitringers have been cut by the tunnel, according to .Mr. Field. These are believed to be leads from the (Logger fissure, which, according to surface sur-face indications, Hhould be cut by the tunnel at approximately 400 feet from the portal. |
