Show SUFFRAGISTS TO TALK ON WOMEN'S LEAGUE The League of Women's Voters, which Is being organized throughout the United States as a branch of the National Woman's Wom-an's Suffrage association, to promote legislative laws that will help women and children, will be the subject of an address ad-dress by Miss Marjorie Shuler of New York, a member of the congressional committee, at a special meeting of the Utah branch of the national suffrage association to be held this afternoon In the Hotel Utah. Mrs. Elizabeth P. Hay ward wdl preside pre-side at the meeting in the absence of Mrs. F. S. Richards, chairman of the Utah branch. All persons interested are Invited to attend, especially representatives representa-tives of churches, clubs and organizations. Miss Shuler says .the women forces of the country are being organized to bring laws to pass by lending moral support. A Utah representative to act on the executive ex-ecutive committee of the national organization organ-ization will later be appointed. At present pres-ent the league will include all women who have the privilege to vote for president, and when the federal amendment is ratified rati-fied In all the states it will include all the women of the nation. Other officials with Miss Shuler are Mrs. Ben Hooper of Wisconsin, a member of the national executive board of the national suffrage association; Mrs. M. F. Cunningham of Galveston, Texas, president presi-dent of the Texas Suffrage association, and Mrs. ' John G. South of Kentucky, past president of the Kentucky association. associa-tion. These officials will be among the guesta of honor at the luncheon to be given by Mrs. Simon Bamberger today at the Country club, in honor of the wives and daughters of delegates to the governors' gov-ernors' convention. |
