Show SHE FIB MEETjr sunr Problems of Association to Be Discussed at Annual An-nual Convention. Special to The Tribune. (g-ANDY, Aug. 18. Sandy is ready to extend a welcome to the members of the Utah State Firemen's association, who will gather here tomorrow morning for a three days' session. It is expected that fully forty of the towns of the state will be represented at the convention and the people of the pioneer pio-neer smelter town will do their utmost to see that the visitors are well entertained enter-tained and cared for. The opening day of the convention will be devoted largely to the business of the association. There will be an informal banquet at 6 o'clock in the evening. Upon the call to order Mayor W. W. Wilson and Fire Chief A. Robert Larson will deliver de-liver addresses of welcome, to which responses re-sponses will be made by President F. O. Lxjcke of the Utah Stale Firemen's association as-sociation and Reuben Simpson, oldest fireman fire-man in active service in the state. .Appointment of committees, which wil make their reports at the afternoon session, ses-sion, will follow. Other features of the afternoon session will be the annual report re-port of the president and an address by Rulon S. Weils, state insurance commissioner. commis-sioner. The second day's session will open with roll call and mufiic. n fter which business busi-ness will be transacted, consisting of reports re-ports of the secretary, statistical officer, treasurer, trustees and specia I committees. commit-tees. Graves, chff of the Oeden department, "Gasoline Its Care and Dangers." Reports of standing committees and the consideration of other business, including ! the election of officers and the selection of the city wherein the next convention will be held, will follow, Thursday, the closing day of the convention, con-vention, will open with a street parade at ID o'clock. af:er which a program will be given at Wilson park. |
