Show DUNBAR IS NAMED FOR REVENUE POST WASHINGTON', Aug. 18. David C. Dunbar of Salt Lake City. Eta p., was nominated collector of internal revenue by PieMdenl Wilson today. Mr. Dunbar was born in Salt Lake. February 2S, and early in iiis life liad a nev. spaper open before him. His father was instrumental in founding one of the morn in p ne s papers here. After spending spend-ing four years in the employ of the Omaha Herald. Mr. Dunbar returned to Utah and was appointed cleric of the court under the territorial government. Beginning in l?9tS, he served a term as county clerk, after which he org-anlzcd his present business and became a dealer in pipe and waterworks supplies. Havinsr been an active worker in the Democratic party for a number of years, Mr. Dunbar's nomination comes as a merited mer-ited reward. He was recommended for the position by Senator William H. Klnur. |
