With the Victory loan period closing in for the final rush which f-ornes tomorrow nigUt, Utah county still lags far in the rear, with an average of 7;: per cent of Its allotment raised. This percentage Is brought about by the success suc-cess of the canvassers and the banks in P ro vo and S pa n i sh Fo rk . Late this afternoon County Chairman A. P. Merrill made a report of the different differ-ent towns In the county and their percentages, per-centages, us follows; American Fork, 40.2 per cent; Lehi, 'l!.S per cent; Payson, 4(1.2 per cent; Pleasant Grove, CI. 2 per cent; Provo, 94.2 per cent; Spanish Fork, IfH per cent; SpringvMle, 43.2 per cent. Only the amounts raised in Provo and Spanish Fork are responsible for the present pres-ent record. Members of the committees will keep at the work Incessantly and still hold out hope for success in the county. |
