Show NEW HOPE BONDS TO BE INVESTIGATED James H. Wolfe, assistant attorney general, gen-eral, will, at the request of the state board of land commissioners, make an investigation on the ground of the situation situa-tion with regard to S'ew Hope Irrigation . district bonds. The New Hope district Is on tiie border between L'intah and Duchesne Du-chesne counties. It Is found that the bondholders, In case of failure to meet the payments, may assume control over the canal system of the district, but that the lands that are actually delinquent in the payment of assessments as-sessments may not be so obtained, save through ordinary taxing procedure. At times the county commissioners have failed to fix a levy tor the district to meet Its assessments. The action to be taken by the board will be worked out after Mr. Wolfe has Investigated further. |
