Show IRON SPRINGS MINING COMPANY ORGANIZED The ore deposits of Iron county are to be developed by a newly organized company, com-pany, the Iron Springs Mining company, composed of Salt T,;ike and Utah men. This company, according to information from officials, holds claims in the heart of the mining district aggregating 2240 acres, twelve miles west of Cedar City and two miles north of the proposed railroad rail-road between Iamd and Cedar City. Adjoining Ad-joining these holdings are he patented claims of Ihe Great Western" Mining company, com-pany, it is said-. Surface indications of a most favorable mi ture exist, state officials. Two large outcrops of hematite and magnetite, in places twenty feet . wide, show indications indica-tions of being 1 700 feet long. Diamond drilling to ascertain the depth and the permanency of the two deposits and to locate copper deposi ts which, from surface sur-face indications and showings in old workings, are thought to exist will be started in the near future, it is1 said. An adequate water supply for mining and culinary purposes can be piped at a not large expense from Iron springs. Timbering Tim-bering suitable for mining purposes can be cut on the property, it is said. Two houses for living quarters will be built, ami as soon as developments justify other buildings will be erected. Headquartes of the company will be in Sa 1 1 L,ake. Articles of incorporation, which have been recently filed with the secretary of st a te and the county clerk, state that the following are incorporators and officers: of-ficers: Herbert K. Smyth, former secretary secre-tary of t he state Republican organ iza-t iza-t ion. president; A. K. McCarry, vice president; presi-dent; J. Tracy Woulton, secretary-treasurer.' Russe'l I 'arsons, attorney for Reaver county, and 10. C McCarry are directors. Oliver T. liolger, Lynn Hodges and Harry Hodges also are included as incorporators. |
