Show UTAH PIONEERS WILL BE HONORED AT FETE The pioneers of Utah will he honored today in the Utah day celebration to be held at Saltair under the auspices of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Pioneers of 1847, who will be the special honor guests, are requested to meet at the Saltair depot this afternoon at 3:15 o'clock, when they will be presented with railway tickets by the entertainment committee. At 7 o'clock the principal program wilt be held on the pier floor of the main pavilion. Governor Bamberger and brigadier briga-dier General Richard W. Young will deliver de-liver the address. The program will also include solos by David Reese, tenor; Miss Margaret -Summerhays, soprano; Miss Maiora Rogers, soprano; Miss Florence Bennion, piano, and Miss Melba Lindsay, violin, in addition to band selections. Following the program the dancing contest con-test will be held in the ballroom. Prizes will be awarded the couples best performing per-forming the waltz and the varsovlenne. The oldest pioneer man and the oldest pioneer woman attending the outing will be given prizes. |
