Show TILDEN TAKES SINGLES FROM SAMUEL HARDY CHICAGO,' July 15. William T. Tilden, Jr., of Philadelphia, 1918 national clay court singles champion, is again the strong favorite as a result of his onesided one-sided victory over Samuel Hardy of Chicago, Chi-cago, 6-1, 6-1, in the fifth round of play today of the ninth annual clay court tournament. Al Green of Chicago, in an exhibition of fancy tennis in the fourth round, eliminated elimi-nated J. B. Adone, Jr., of Dallas, Texas, 6-3, 6-3. Lucian E. Williams of Highland Park, 111., eliminated Henry C. Wick, Jr., ot Cleveland, 6-1, 6-3, in the fourth round. Other results: Second round H. D. Keresey, Chicago, defeated V. E. Alden, Baltimore, 6-2, 7-5. Third round Valesca Satterfleld, St. Louis, defeated Bentley, Chicago, 6-0, 6-0; J. A. Farley, Chicago, defeated W. H. Thwaites, Grand Rapids. Mich., 6-4, 6-4; P. S.
