Show IDAHO BALL CLUBS MAKE GOOD SHOWING Special to The Tribune. POCATELLO, Idaho, July. 15. The baseball germ Is getting a firm hold on fans of the national game in all corners of Bannock county, nnd the latest town to come to the fore with a team is Grace, one of the live spots of the southeastern part of the county. A. R. Dawson, a bank cashier of Grace and former city clerk of Pocatello, boasts a splendid aggregation of ball plavers which ho has been putting Into trim during dur-ing the past few weeks to meet some of the stalwarts of the county, and" already has Issued a challenge to meet the Pocatello Poca-tello Elks team. There are at least fivo teams in Pocatello, Poca-tello, throe being in the Oregon Short Line league, and are playing a series among themselves. The Tigers, a team recently organized, has been playing Sunday Sun-day games at McCammon and Lava during dur-ing the past two weeks, and met defeat at the hands of Lava last Sunday. The meeting of the Grace team and Pocatello Elks will probably occur in two weeks. |
