Oregon and Washington Wash-ington get together with California a nd adopt form of the California statutes ; that would meet all local recjuirements and yet- give tourists the same set of fudamental rules all along the Pacific seaboard. , The advantage of such cooperation as ' Mr. Eke ward points out has the merit ' of eliminating much of the annoyance now attending a tour in these t states. It is generally realized that the : Pacific coast' states have more reason to be uniform in their dealings with motorists motor-ists than any other stretch of territory divided by several commonwealths. The tourists from the east who isit tlvs section sec-tion annually are numerous and compliance com-pliance with al) the various regulations now in effect along th J'acific coast has proven a costiy item of 'heir expense.
