The steel strike In the local district was in a state of quietness today, with tho mills here and at Mingo closed, and interest centered on the threatened march of Steubenville and "Mingo strikers to Weir-ton, Weir-ton, "W. Va., next Monday afternoon, 1 f the Weirton Steel company's plant there was still In operation. Secretary Frank W 'ilson, addressing a mass meeting for Weirton workmen who had failed to come out at tho call last Monday, stated emphatically that such a parade would be held; that the men on the Ohio side of tho river were determined deter-mined and would march to Weirton, 5000 lo 8000 strong, and that he could not prevent pre-vent them from going. |
