Show L D. 5. DEFENSE IS CJpiD. The Rev. G. E. Davies Says Pastors' Message Is Authentic. Spe. iul n The Tribune. PITTSBURG, Nov. 14. -A telegram received re-ceived in Pittsburg today by James 8. Martin, chairman of the Christian citizenship citi-zenship conference, from the Rev. Dr. George E. Davies, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Salt Lake, confirmed con-firmed the authenticity of the statement read to the .-onlerenco by Wesley L King of Salt Lake. The Rev. Dr. Davies message declared Liiipharleallv that tho statement of the Salt Lake ministers denying that the Mormon church was Importing girls for purposes of polygamy was authentic and signed by the six non-Mormon ministers as represented by Mr. King, who read the document at the conference in Pittsburg.
