LITTLE COTTONWOOD HEARING DATE SET The date for the hearing of the petition j filed bv the South Heela Mining com-banc com-banc with the public utilities commission asking that the Little Cottonwood Trans-; portation companv be compelled to op-crate op-crate its railroad during the winter months was set vesterday by the commission com-mission for November 17. Because of recent inclement weather, the railroad company, according to Shand Smith, manager, was compelled to stop! operations. Yesterday the Llltie Cdton- 1 wood Transportation company filed a statement -citing forth that because of ihe Inclement weather, scarcity of labor and lack of adwiuate tonnage to make operation profitable, the atopplnsr of operations op-erations would be necessary until next season. .
