Show ROOSEVELT HOME TO BE MEMORIAL (Chicago Tribune Special Service.) NEW YORK, March 11. The site of the birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt, at 28 East Twentieth street, where stood a four-story brown stone house in which the first fifteen years of his life were spent, has been acquired for a permanent perma-nent Roosevelt memorial. At the head of the project is the women's Roosevelt memorial committee, which was incorporated in January. Mrs. William Curtiss Demarest, chairman or the committee, said tonight that full plans for the memorial would be made public in a few days. |
