George Creel, head of the committee on public information infor-mation in Washington, announced today on his return irom Kurope aboard the transport Agamemnon his intention to "return to private life." "I am no longer with them','' said Mr. , Creel, when asked for a statement about his activities in Europe for the commit- ; tee. "I cabled a statement from Brest. Was it not released "' he asked. Wh en his q u es t i o n ers informed him i that they had not heard of the statement being released, Air. Creel dictated the following; fol-lowing; "1 am poing- 10 return to private life. The domestic activities of the committee commit-tee on public information ended in December De-cember and I have made arrangements for the discontinuance of all foreign work. My only relation with Lhc committee com-mittee on public information as ' from March 1 will be a nominal one. in connection con-nection with the formal features of settlement." |
