Show GUARD OFFICIALS . MINTED Three Majors and as Many Captains on Adjutant General's List. Appointment of three majors and" as many captains in the First infantry, national na-tional guard of Utah, now being organized, or-ganized, was announced yesterday by Major Fftd Jorgensen, adjutant general of Utah. They aro as follows: Frank R. Newman, to be major in the ordnance department. Captain John S. Karley, to be major In the quartermaster corps. Captain Lawrence W. Smeller, to be major of infantry. Roger W. Powers, to be captain, quartermaster's quar-termaster's corps. Albert W. Wagner, to be captain, quar-termaeter's quar-termaeter's corps. Willard O. Burton, to be captain, headquarters head-quarters company and regimental adjutant. ad-jutant. Major Newman is manager of the local theaier in the P&ntagea circuit and was formerly a commissioned officer In the national guard of Washington Major Earley Is a veteran of tnc Spanish-American Spanish-American war and has for some time been attached to the adjutant general's office as captain. He recently received a commission as captain in the quartermaster's quarter-master's corps. United States army.
