URGED TO PREVENT PROPOSED MASSACRE WASHINGTON, Nov. 7. The United States and allied governments were asked today by Boris Bakhmetieff, Russian ambassador, am-bassador, to take all steps possible to prevent pre-vent the Bolshevik! from carrying out their plan to observe November 10, St. Bartholomew day, as an occasion for general gen-eral massacre of (he property-owning and middle classes of Russia. Official dispatches received in the last few days, the ambassador said, show extensive ex-tensive preparations by the Bolshevik) for the massacre. He urged the Bolshevlki and German agents be held for accountability accounta-bility before an international court if they carry out their plans.
