Show ORDER PROBE 110 DEM Ml Police to Investigate Cae of Rooming House Demise. Police investigation into the circumstances circum-stances surrounding the death of Myrtle F. C. McGlaughlin, who died in a Japanese rooming house at 176 West South Temple Tem-ple street last Saturday, was ordered yesterday yes-terday by Chief of Police J. Parley White. Reports reaching the department indicated indi-cated a possibility of foul play, the chief declared, though the evidence appeared clear that the woman died of tuberculosis. tubercu-losis. The body, which lies in a local undertaking under-taking establishment, bears no indication indica-tion of violence, according to Detectives Bert H. Seager and C. A. Williams, who visited the place late last night. Dr. T. 'O. Duckworth, who was called to the place after the discovery of the body, declared that the woman had apparently ap-parently died of tuberculosis and that no evidence was discovered which might lead to any other conclusion. Relatives of the dead woman in San Francisco have been notified of her death, but no wori has been received from them. The children in the meantime mean-time have been declared wards of the juvenile court, pending their final disposition. |
