Show PROTECT YOURSELF. Governor Neville of Nebraska has announced that he will lift the influenza influ-enza embargo at midnight Friday, the various municipalities having, however, to take such action as they see fit. 'It is to be hoped that the epidemic will soon be under control in Utah to such an extent that the health authorities will be ableto conscientiously remove the present handicap to business. If there is any change in the situation throughout the state it is distinctly for the better and we may soon be out of the clutches of this fell destroyer of human life. It has run its course in many localities in the east and central west. At other points its ravages continue con-tinue without any sign of a letup. It is a mysterious and baffling disease and the people" of this city and state should implicitly obey the regulations laid down by the authorities. The battle bat-tle will be won when it is possible to check the spread of the disease and this can only be done by taking all possible measures of precaution. In times like the present, one careless person per-son may caflse the death of many, and carelessness in so grave a matter cannot can-not be excused. There is tragedy all around us owing to this epidemic. Let it not bo said that we are slackers when we are advised to do certain things for the common good. We cannot leave all the work to the school teachers aud the Red Cross nurses, however -brave and willing thev mav be. |
