Earl Isaac Frost, 12 i years of ago. son Gilbert C. and Mary Moore l'rost, was electrocuted at 11:30 o-clock this morning qn tho roof of the joint freight depot, which runs under the Twenty-fourth street viaduct, when he mbbed hold of a high-tension wire. Deith is said to have been instantaneous, although every effort was made, to resuscitate resusci-tate the boy with the pulmotor of the fire ,ierjme:i.t. fecording' to Frank Montreso, 11 years moi age, 3133 Pacific avenue, who was with Krodt at the time of ttie accident, the bov bad crawled over tho wire barrier at the side of the viaduct and then dropped upon the roof of the freight shed. Tho bov ran along the roof and grabbed hold of tbo wires. According to JMontreso. there was a flash like a match being struck, then he heard a cry for help and a groan from Frost. Montreso shouted for help and railroad men rushed to his aid. When they saw what was the matter they had the power .ompany shut off the power until the tody could be rescued. Dr. Edward I. Rich was summoned and had the pulmotor pul-motor used, together with every other restorative known to medical science, but to no avail. The boy is survived by his parents, six brothers and one sister. The body was removed" to the Larkin chapel, where it was prepared for burial. The date of the funeral will be announced later. |
