Show B. Y. U. BOYS RESPOND TO CALL OF COACH Special to The Tribune. PROVO, Feb. 7. Basketball at the B. Y. U. this week would no doubt test a trifle higher in saccharine than at any other time this year. A few days ago Director Roberts made an impassioned pica for college men to come out. and as a result a fine band has responded. Of course, they are new and raw at the game, but they make a good bunch for practice. He ulso sent out an S. O. S. call to the old stars to come in and help whip the team Into shape. Such loyal men as Luther Eggertsen. Joe Taylor. Ralph Eggcrtsen. McDonald. Raise and Simmons have responded, and ea-"h night thev are on the side lilies telling the players' play-ers' how to do it. The B. Y. U. is determined deter-mined that the "L"" shall not win by any lop-sided score on Saturday. It is rumored that Raile and Simmons will enter the B. Y. U. this week. Of course, if they should enter now they would not be as valuable as if they had been in the training earlier, but toward i the end of the year the Provo team may , be able to exercise the other teams at j least. Saturday night there will be a double-header double-header at Provo. The Paysor. team will I meet the B. Y. U. high school and the j U. of U. will met the B. Y. U. college team. The college team will meet the Hinckley Hinck-ley Giants tomorrow night. |
