Muiluigs admitted yesterday he has received notice of the termination of his services as inspector of. the department depart-ment Monday nijht. Mr. Mulling has intimated a de;ire for a position as a deputy on the sheriff's for;e, though he lias not made any direct application to the sheriff. The fact that Mavor Ferrv has been inquiring ot' the other members of the city commission as to their support for his secretary, R. N. Young, for the position id' city treasurer, should he propose Mr. Young for the po-mon, h:is led to confident predictions that the secretarv is slated for the place.
