Show WILL INVESTIGATE EIGHT Dry THE BORDER Killing of 15 Mexicans at Porveniiv Texas, Now International In-ternational Affair. EL PASO, Feb. 7. An Investigation of tho killing of fifteen Mexican citizens at Forvenir, Txas. forty miles northwest of Presido, January l"f has been ordered by the -state department at Washington and is being made by the military stationed sta-tioned in the Big Bend district of Texas, whrre the killings occurred. This was asked for by Mexican Ambassador Ygna-cio Ygna-cio Bonillas. According to a report made to Ambassador Ambas-sador Bonillas by Consul Cosine Ben-goeachea Ben-goeachea at Presidio, the fifteen men were taken from their homes by an armed posse and shot to death. The rea- i son given was a suspicion that they par- ; ticipated in the Briie ranch raid Christmas Christ-mas day. Details of th wholesale killings tvere sent direct to Washington and were only received by the Mexican consulate here today. Every effort apparently was made in the Big Bend district to suppress news of the killings, which was unknown to officials here until today.
