Hymen In the departure today of EJarl Smith i for aviation training1 in Botton, Salt Lake's automobile circles lose one of the most prominent of its sales officials. Mr. Smith has been sales manager of the , Randall -Po-.M Automobile company of SaJt ' Lake, distributors for Fuick passenger cars. Bulck trucks. CMC trucks and National cars in this territory, and is one of the best known automobile men in the intermountaJn west. He has been accepted for traininc in the non-flying division of the aviation corps of the army, and has been instructed instruct-ed to report in Boston immediately for training at the Boston "Tech." Mr. Smith leaves tod-sv for the eH.t. followed by the we!! wishes of hundreds of men in the automobile business throughout Utah and Idaho who have become be-come his friends during his work with tiie KandaU-Dodd company the past few years. Mr. Smith' successor as sales manager of the Randall-Dodd company will be G. C. Hymer, who has been the traveling representative of the Randall-Dodd people for some time and is extensively acquainted ac-quainted throughout the company's entire en-tire intermountain territory. Mr. Hymer will take immediate charee of the Randall-Dodd tales work, and Mr. Hymer's place as traveling representative representa-tive will be filled by F. R. Van Meter, who has also been a member of the Randall-Dodd organization for some time. With these changes in effect, the Ran-dall-E'odd company will proceed with its p'ans for Fupplyjng Buick and National pleasure cars and Buick and GMC trucks. The arrival here last week of the shipment ship-ment of the handsome new four-passenger sport models of the new National phaeton has created a wide interest in the new cars, and hundreds of interested owners and prospective buyers have visited vis-ited the Randall -Dodd company' a show i rooms Lhe past week to inspect the handsome hand-some new models. These are the first of the new National Na-tional phaetons to be received by the Randall -Dodd company, and the factory designates tho cars as "four-passenger sport models." They hold five passengers easily, however, how-ever, and the cars carry the famous six-cylinder six-cylinder National motors. In lines and finish the cars are of unusual un-usual smartness, and their appearance is weil in keeping with the snap and power they actually possess. The bodies are long and narrow, yet have plenty or" room and are comfortable. The front seats are not divided, and the center cowl is broad and stylish in its appearance.
