A county committee to take charge ot war savings society work in Salt Lake countv was orgaized at a meeting heid in the Commercial club yesterday afternoon. after-noon. Frank A. Fisher heads the Salt Lake countv committee, and it is compcl of men and women who will name subCTjg mittees and devote their time to seeing' that the society work in this county accomplishes ac-complishes all that is expected of ;t. The countv committee was organized yesterday under direction of Eugene B. "Palmer, chairman of the state subcommittee subcom-mittee on war savings society work. In addition to Mr. Palmer the meeting vtaa attended by James W. Collins, cb.ainr.in of the. state committee on war saving-, and L. B. Hampton, chairman of fne citv committee on war savings. in addition to Chairman Fisher of tie countv committee, there were aso named on the committee Walter C. Lewis, Lew-is, J. G. McDonald. Joseph Lippmaa, y' W. Alkire, Edward Rosenbaum. Dr. Ernest A. Smith, Mrs. E. B. Critchlow, J. B. VvThitehill. Eoss M. Beasoa ai.a Stephen B. Newman. Mr. Lewis is chairman of a subcommittee subcom-mittee on retail stores. Mr. MeBona-d is chairman of a subcommittee on mam-facturers mam-facturers and jobbers, and Mr. Eosen-baum Eosen-baum will assist him in this work. Mr. Alkire is chairman of the subcommittee on automobile dealers and garages. Dr. uiith is chairman of the subcommittee on schools, and Mrs. E. B. Crit.eh.ow ij chairman of the subcommittee on women wom-en 's societies. Mr. Whitehill will !ooi after the work among metal mines and smelters, and Boss M.' Beason will iooi after the societies to be organized among the employees of public ntiiiriee. Goal, 100,000 Members. Mr. PalmeT expects that this goal will b? reached within a comparatively sic:; time.
