Show MINSTREL PLANS PROGRESS NICELYj "Eig Fifteen" Under Direction of T. F. Thomas Showing Cleverness of Thirty Years Ago. Under tho direction of T. V. Thomas j preparations for tho appearance of-the i "Big Fifteen Minstrels" at. the Suit j Lake theater, February 25 and L'ti, made excellent progress during tho wock. Several rehearsals were, held and the surviving members of the old-time inin- i strel organization are showing that they have lost none of the spirit aud cleverness clever-ness which mado them famous thirty years ago. , The rehearsals of the week extended to the soldiers from Fort Douglas, who. to the number of more than 100, will appear in the second act, presenting a stage picture which Mr. Thomas says will rival anything military that has ever been put on iu the west. Arrangements have been completed for one of the classiest musical programmes, pro-grammes, by the Twentieth regiment band. Music also will be furnished by the theater orchestra. Material for the decoration of the house is being assembled and in lavish use will bring out a patriotic effect fitting the purpose for which the, performances per-formances are to be given, for the benefit bene-fit of the soldiers. Flass of all the allied countries will figure largely in the scheme. |
