THE season for the best of everything every-thing in poultry, fruits. vegetables, vege-tables, wild game and sea food is at band, or close approaching. The forehanded housewife is already al-ready figuring, not only on her Thanksgiving Thanks-giving day dinner, which, of course, is going to be the best ever, but as well on how best to take advantage of the multiplicity multi-plicity of produce the market affords at : this time of the year. Variety is the spice to tempt the appetite, ap-petite, and this is precisely what is offered of-fered bv the groceries and markets of Salt Lake City. The shelves are heavily laden and the counters teem with good things, the very look of which tends to sharpen the appetite, i When it comes to furnishing seasonable season-able fruits, Utah's own Dixie land and its neighboring state of Nevada are not many jumps behind Florida, for there are now offered pomegranates from the Dixie country and from Overton, Nev. There is said to be a plentiful crop in Utah, Idaho, Nebraska and Kansas, so that no dearth la expected in the supply of the national bird which is so predominant on the last Thursday in November. The turkeys are ' going to be of the best quality also, and naturally the fixings will likewise measure mea-sure up to the well-known standard.
